Default Track Times

Ok guys just took my buddy's 02 gt out(identical to mine) ,he has Long tube headers, X-pipe, flowmaster 40's, 3.73 gears, Nitto NT555R Drag Radials, Underdrive pulleys, shorty shifter, a diablosport tuner set at 10 degree spark advance, o and a k&n filter withe the airbox cut out and the headlight in front of it pulled out (custom intake) now with that setup he couldnt break a 9 second pass in the 1/8 mile, but when i drove it i first manged a 8.76 at 81.29 mph, then a 8.66 at 82.01 mph. Are these good track times for the eighth mile i've never run a short track like that b4. i thought it wasnt bad for having ZERO suspension work done. what do you guys think?

Hmmmm i run 1/4 so im not sure but from other posts ive read here they sound like excellent times. I think anyweres under 9 is a good run. And that mph has to be good if youwere to carry that to 1/4 you would def be over the 100mph mark

Yeah thats pretty decent. You can definately drive better than ur buddy thats for sure. I think with a little practice you could run few tenths quicker 8.5x-8.6x. I ran a 9.00 on gatorbacks set at 12 psi. The car you drove has alot more done to it than mine.

An 8.66 is a very good time for the mods you have. And You > Him when it comes to driving a stick, LOL. Not much else besides t/b and plenum and a CAI for him, and with those mods and a retune, I think YOU could drive his car into the 8.4-8.5's in the 1/8 mile.

And I see your selling your car, sorry but you wont get no where near $17,500 for it. 04 GT's with less miles are going for cheaper than that, hell you can almost get an 03/04 Mach 1 for that price, and you can get an 01 Cobra for cheaper than that. Mods or no mods, it aint worth that, Sorry!!! I got my 01 GT with 52,000 miles in July of 05 and I only paid $10,300 for it, and it had exhaust already on it, I know it aint mods like you have, but mods dont add any value, only if their rims or like an aftermarket hood.

Thats not to bad for those mods, fig. it might be a tad quicker, but still good, here is what my car ran in the 1/8 and the 1/4

1/8.....8.68
MPH.....81.06
1/4.....13.50
MPH.....102.83

Mods are off road h pipe, mac catback, rpm intake plenum, bbk 75mm throttle body, and bbk cold air, 3.73s, street tires, untuned...with a tune and tires it should be faster

That is a pretty good time for your car and mods. Although I'm pretty sure after a tune, you could hit a 13.3x,

92EmeraldCoupe, definately if you get some DR's to go along with your tune, you should hope for atleast a 13.1x, but I hope you break into the 13.0x barrier.

if I wanted to do weight reduction and pull the sway bar and all that good stuff itd be easier, but I do things the hard way, I race it as it comes off the street, Id love more gear and go for 12.999, but since I do alot of highway driving 3.73s will be ok for now
