Do you have some false idea that the rims are strong? A 5mph collision with a curb could do that to a wheel.

Pallidamors, they will give you the check, or the body shop the check. Body shops are almost always willing to do the work for less and give you whats left. They will also order the parts you want... doesn't have to be stock replacements.

Awww man. That sucks to see. At least your ok. If that happened to me, I know I would lose alot of sleep for a long time. Good luck getting it all fixed up.

This is probably the best chance to get a cobra bumper/new hood. (if the hood is on the estimate)

You sure that the car is totaled? Doesn't look like it to me. It's obvious that the driver side wheel/tire/fender/headlight and the front bumper are screwed, but that doesn't total a car. Is there other damage that isn't obvious in the picture?

man that sucks i did the same thing about a month ago but i hit a gaurdrail. it was only 2000 ti fix it all, but i didn't need a new hood. hope everything goes ok. glad you are not hurt

something seems to be wrong with the transmission because it wont get out of first gear? Also thanks for the info Dan, so they will just cut me a check and I do with it what I please?

Thanks Dan, so I can just tell the guy at the body shop oh I want to replace the bumper with a cobra bumper and thats it? Also will the cobra bumper fit no problem?

P.S. Anybody have any recommendations of body shops in the Miami Florida area?
