Default Superchargers?

Hey guys i'm wantin to get a supercharger here real soon and im at a loss on what to get centrifugal (however u spell it) or roots style. I hear lots of good things about the roots style and i have also heard that a centrifugal style s.c. puts a lot of strain on the crank and that our motors give in to it after a while. Can someone plz tell me the pro's and con's to these two types? thanks

never heard the crank rumor, sounds like bs, I like the roots myself. More power down low if you want it.

You want a twin screw like Kenne Bell or Whipple. Not Roots. A centrifugal can be just as good. They both have ups and downs. Id say go with Procherger if you want a centri and a Kenne Bell if you want twin screw.

mikev is a post ***** ( look at me im just as bad lol), Hey man for the money go with a centri yes you wont have the power down low but that only comes into play as soon as you punch the gas so bam for 1 second you have more power than a centri big whoop when you shift your in the power band anyways , i personally like racing on the freeway and the faster you go and higher rpm's you see the more boost and power a centrifugal make's its all personal opinion if your looking to show off and have a loud whine when you whomp on the gas then get a twin screw if you just want a blower thats going to make good power and be easy on the wallet get the centrifugal and bs on the crank myth youll make 650-700rwhp and tq on a stock crank with no probelms
