Probably every time I drive it with rare exception. A minimum of once per tank...usually 3 times or so. Mine pulls strong past the factory redline...right into the limiter. Don't know why you low-landers are having problems above 5100.[&:]

It's a 1997 4 valver... redline is at 6800 with the fuel shut off at 7000. Max power is at about 5800, but still hangs in there strong up to redline... and by getting the revs up that high I can get into the next gear at a higher RPM and consequentially higher HP... I could most likely get the same performance if I were to shift at 6500, but it spins that tach dang fast!
