I have the same probs in my auto, but I am 100% sure its my tires. They dont seem to have bad tread on them, but I dont really think they are good for anything more than dry pavement. Then again, in the rain and snow I love to slide...so maybe its just my right foot lol.

being 16 is half the problem, one of my buddies back in highschool spun his thunderbird onto a curb, and tried to pass that he wasnt driving too fast, but yea, a mustang rearend will want to slide out in the rain anyways, tires will help. I just suggest don't drive fast in the rain, simple as that.

No offense but if you drove so well then you wouldn't be spinning out so much. Driving good isn't just if you can shift fast, it's your overall control of the car.

These cars are horrible in wet weather., you must drive very slow to be safe.

I don't see how "being 16 is half the problem". Anybody can speed, not just High School kids. I don't drive a mile over the limit, dry or wet conditions. Don't judge me by my age, leave that for the insurance companies, dude. And obviously, knowing how to shift fast doesn't make you a good driver. I'm not the average ignorant teen you guys think I am. I respect the car that I bought for myself. I wouldn't beat on it. I have a good control of the car, just conditions were prime for an accident today, and I avoided it.

Yeah I'm pretty sure that it's my tires. I'm getting a new set tomorrow. Any inexpensive suggestions?

You'll get the hang of it after a while. Im also in So Cal, about an hour away from O.C. It's been the first hard rain of the year, but still, it shouldn't be that bad. Im 17, and i know that my first year driving i had some problems in the rain around intersections. You've just gotta figure out how to accelerate, or not accelerate. My car has T/C, but as a habit its always off. But, when it does rain hard and its empty at an intersection, feel free to get very sideways.. I sure do.

I'm a big fan of the Falken Ziex tires. I had 275's and I loved them.

Those are the exact tires I have. But are they rated for rain? I need something practical.
