Default RE: rear axle drop

I just pulled my rear end out on my 96.
The rear abs sensors are a total pain I broke one and ended up pulling the others plug from under the rear seat.
I've heard but have not done it yet that you need to move those abs sensors in a little to pull the axles in far enough to get at the c clips.
If that the case I will try to grind a little relief in the plastic sensor case to allow the axel on the good sensor side enough travel.
The rest of it was not that bad a breaker bar and 4lb slege hammer were close by at all times.
Any questions let me know I just did this two weeks ago.
