Default O/R midpipe and Check Engine Light

Anyone who runs an offroad midpipe just leave their Check Engine Light on and not worry about it? Does it hurt anything to just leave it?

Mine has been on for months now since the mil's stopped working. I dont know if it's hurting my performance or not, and I'm still getting pretty much the same gas mileage.

IT wont hurt anything, but you will not be alerted of a potential problem if its on all the time. If you just leave it on, check it every now and then to make sure something important is not messing up.

Nothing will be affected by the light. HOWEVER, if something else were to happen to the engine, you wouldn't know because for all you know, the light is on b/c of the O2 sensors. Use this as an excuse to get a tuner! With this, you can cut the light off for the O2's. Sell your MIL's.

My CEL is on because of the o/r pipe. MILs didn't work. Car idles like **** and the exhaust smells like gasoline, its running rich. Most people don't seem to have problems though. Runs fine when I get on it though.
