i have a 2002 mustang gt thats a manual. I have had it about four-five months now and the transmission makes sort of a whinning/fuzzy noise. Its not really loud, you cant really hear it if the radio is on and it's worse at certin rpm's. Like at 2000 its really obvious but at 3500 you can hardly notice it. I dont believe it has been going on since i have it, atleast i have just noticed it recently. Does you guys transmissions make any kind of noise? Is transmission noise common or is this a big problem i should have looked at?

I have the same prob. in my 97 cobra. It's the TOB.

This might be sort of an ignorant ? but work with me im new at this. What exactly is the TOB and should i be worried about it. What exactly can be done about it?

every man. trans i have been in it has made that nose i have two they both make that nose and i was in a brand new 05 gt it even made that nose. If that the same thing we are talking about i think your fine.
