Default Heads or Cams be replaced w/out taking the engine out?

Is there any way to change the cams or the heads in a SOHC 4.6 without jacking the engine out?

Yeah. Loosen motor mounts and jack the engine up a touch and it'll give you the clearance to work better.

Yes remove the intake, valve covers and timing cover. From there you can pull the heads or just change the cams. You might have to loosen a few things in the engine compartment to make it easier but it is completly doable.
