I have the mongoose just installed it sunday. and it is a blast to drive, normal driving until u open it up and give it wot. drives like stock until u goose it and get over 3500 rpm. perfect combo imo, but most of the centris will be like that, the v-2 sq is also a very quiet charger, outside its not bad but inside its real quiet except at idle and just starting but that could be because my exhaust is so damn loud it covers it up a lot.

The impeller on the prochargers are less efficient, I will find the link where a website compared them. Would explain why an intercooled procharger makes the same HP at the same boost as a non intercooled vortech/paxton....

But. . . .When you add an intercooler you increase restriction. Thats why an intercooled 6 psi blower makes the same as a non intercooled 6 psi blower. Ive seen it in person with this guy that put a vortech on his 5.9 jeep cheroke. It was fast but he said he gained no hp and he was pissed. At 6 and 9 psi its not worth it to intercool but when ur over 10 id start looking into it.

yea...the prochargers are less efficient and thus generate more heat to make the same amount of power as a vortech. thats why the vortech kit doesnt need to come with the aftercooler...but all prochargers come with em. they are all great kits tho...so i would go with whatever you can get the best deal on.
i went with vortech cuz i found a great deal on a used kit. if i went new id prolly still go vortech and get the MPH kit.
careful with a used kit...its coming back to bite me in the ***...a few parts were missing and so my car wont be ready til saturday or monday...so im taking a greyhound bus back to g-ville so that i can go to work on friday [
] its a pretty crappy situation. everything else is all set on the car tho...i was just missing some pulleys.
btw ceekay...we need to go back to the track after all this stuff is done on my car!

You know I'm going to say Procharger. Has a nice whine, self oiling, if you're worried about warranty issues, jsut buy the extra 3 year warranty for $50.00. Come with 6 oils changes as well. Well worth it just to get the 6 bottles of oil. You'd probalby hit around 340-365 with that kit, but that's just a guess.
