Hi all,

I am calling around to junkyards trying to get a shortblock to rebuild, what is the most miles you would allow on a block and still be worth rebuiding? It won't be high horsepower 350-400 rwhp, but when is a block just to old to rebuild?

Also are all 4.6 blocks 96-03 the same? From what I've read they should be, but some junk guys have said other wise.

If it's going to be rebuilt it wouldn't matter how many miles it has.
