Default tunning question??

im planning on supercharging my stang but ive noticed a few s/c kits come with handheld tuners predator/sct does this mean that i dont have to get my car tuned at a shop or do i still have to do that. my car has no previous tunes nor does it have much done to it.

depends on how good the tune is and where its from, i would suggest taking it somewhere no matter what. even most all kits will tell u to go to the dyno to make sure a/f is ok, unless you have your own wideband like i do to make sure a/f is alright. it will be handy tho because most of the tuning is done and if u take the handheld to say and sct or diablo shop all they will have to do is tweak the tune for ur specific car and it wont cost as much and writing a full tune for you. personally my tune is ok to drive on but im going to the dyno as soon as finals are over.

I'd never trust a tune on a handheld through the mail. You can still drive the car but you always should keep it out of boost until you get it dyno tuned. That's my thought.s Always get it dynoe tuned to get the full benenfits of the SC and everything else on the car.
