Thoughts on Bassani catted X and Steeda catted X
I'm getting a game plan down as to things I'm gonna do for my car when it gets here, so it doesnt hurt to do a little research ahead of time as I've been doing for some time now. For a long time, I've been a fan of the H midpipe and thought it sounded the best overall. I still like it, dont get me wrong ( or the prochamber) but I've been talking to some of the guys over on svtp and some say that their H's drone too much or have a really loud pop to their combo. I like a lil pop on decel, but not deafening. I'm gonna stay catted cuz its gonna be loud enough for me.
So, I've come down to either the Bassani catted X or the Steeda catted X. I'm putting a couple of soundclips of each... sorry the Steeda Catted X is so quick, its the only one I could find.
Bassani
Bassani catted X, Steeda catback
Good-- Sounds great, stainless steel
Good-- Can change to O/R pretty easily if I ever do change my mind
Good-- Compliments the Steeda catback well
Good-- Can use the Bassani midlengths later if I decide on them
Bad---- Pretty costly
Steeda
Steeda catted X, Steeda catback
Good-- Sounds good, maybe a tad quieter than Bassani... but nice and deep
Good-- Stainless steel
Bad---- Costs quite a bit too, and wouldnt match up with the Bassani midlengths later without some tinkering
So which do you think is a better buy? I'm realy on the fence at this point. Do you think that this sound is too exotic as some have described it? It still sounds pretty deep to me.

If you're definitely going with the bassani mid lengths then get the bassani pipe. Plus you can always switch to o/r. Sound wise I doubt there is any difference between the two with cats. What is the price difference between the two?
The real sound comes from the cat back. What are you going to run for that?

I don't know how much of a difference there is between the output of a 4v and a 2v, but i love the sound of my bassani x with the bassani cat back. If i was going to go for the mid lengths by bassani, i would prob go with their x then. Just seems to make the most sense and be the easiest transition.
