Default Custom Intake

ok, so i got really bored! i decided to build my own custom intake, and i might be having problems because of it. wat i did was took out the maf sensor used a 3in rubber connectin piece to connect the rubber intake tubbing to a 90 pvc pipe wich connected to another 90 turning down into the fenderwall, then i connecfted the maf sensor to that and the kn cone to that which i think might be sitting to low in the fenderwall. But the problem im having is that in real low rpms, if u punch it the car stutters kinda jumps bak and forth. but also right after i got the intake in and went to test drive, as i was goin my sensor that goes in the intaked manifold popped out and coolant went everywhere, so im not sure if the problem is caused from the intake, or either somthn bieng wet from the coolant. any ideas???????

the iat sensor is the two prong electrical connector on the rubber intake duct. it is located down near the filter. Check to make sure that the sensor itself is clean as well as the plug. Also, if you have a multimeter or voltmeter, check the reference voltage across the termanals. With the key to ON but the engine off, measure the voltage (should be about 5-volts). This sensor is basically a thermocouple that measures the air temperature in the intake, and adjust fuel. Try cleaning it first, and if that doesnt work, you may want to just replace it. (Probably will be a cheap part). Good luck![sm=smiley20.gif]
