Default EXHAUST

OK, i know that im buying MAC LT headers and a O/R prochamber mid-pipe! MY BIGGEST DEBATE is the mufflers! i will not be running pipes to the back, they will be there for looks, but im dumping it with turndowns! I like the flowmaster 40series sound, but way too many ppl have that! I am looking for anybody with longtube headers and a O/R prochamber and w/e kind of mufflers u have w/ a soundclip. My brother has magnapacks and they sound sweet, kinda different tone than i was used to, but he runs a bassani catted x-pipe and stock headers for now! so i have no clue what magnapacks would sound like with LT an O/R prochamber...but if anybody has some exhaust clips with the LT and o/r prochamber with something besides the flowmaster 40series, post up a clip! PLEEEAAAAAASEEE IM TRYIN TO GO FOR A UNCONVENTIONAL MUSTANG ROAR!!!

I just did dumped bassanis with an o/r x. It sounds awesome, not really like flows or any straight through. I have lts in the garage waiting for install. I'd imagine lts, o/r prochamber and dumped bassanis would sound incredible AND different than most other cars.

Check the sticky in the 4.6 section, as well as Mustangexhaust.com

however, since you want a sound that is less conventional..

you really only have 2 (MAYBE 3) choices

Bassanni
Borla (though, im not sure why you'd want to dump Borla, the tips are awesome)
and maybe LM II's,,, i say maybe because they are getting very common as well

but those two , maybe three, are the least common out there, aside from the smaller brands

If you're gunna run turndowns I'm going to have to vote for Flowmaster 40s...most of these exhausts with strait through mufflers don't have the propper rumble at idle to kickass with the turndowns. Also this whole thing with too many people have flowmasters is stupid, more people have SLP than Flowmaster.

+1 Hardly anybody around my area is running flows on their mustang around my area anymore. Seems like most people are either stock or SLP LM1s. And most people that have flows around my area have the stock mid-pipe so im one of the few with a o/r setup. I get compliments all the time on my setup

But if you cant afford bassani I say go with flows. I too don't understand why so many people hate them. I think they sound great.

I dont like them, but I never said they dont sound good.

It's just that flowmaster is like, having a red mustang.. so does everyone else.

Mark, are you talking about bassani's or flow when you made that comment about people not liking "them"...

It is pretty simple, if you want unorthodox, it's either LM1's or 2's. LM1's if you want the most unorthodox ROAR, which will be extrememly loud with an o/r pipe... OR

LM2's, for something a TAD more refined.

Good luck.
