I'll trade you my IRS for your solid axle.. just name a time, haha...

Congrats, on the car man... im sure you'll love it. Let us know what it runs... but Code and 2000 are right, definatly not a daily driver car...

why do yall recomend not ddriving it, how much?
its just not a DD car.

Driving a raised compression stroker cam'd car for a DD would be a total PITA.

Also, ZW99, the stroker kit is from livernois.
I don't see why it couldn't be driven daily??? The compression is about the same as a PI headswapped 96-98 and the stroker won't make it drive any different. The only thing that would make it unfriendly is the cams...how aggressive are they? I don't have time to look up the specs now but i will later.
*EDIT OK LOOKED UP THE CAMS*
They are the 270ah which isn't even close to being aggressive so there is absolutely no reason this car can't be driven daily...i hope your not compareing it to a stroked/cammed pushrod because they are different animals.

I still dont see why not d/d. My buddy has a 302 stroker, p/p bullit intake, 10.75to1 compression heads cams and a 200 direct port and its d/d and sees 250mile road trips once a month for family. Still wondering here

I'd say for a few reasons, it'd be a rough daily driver...

First off, you'll be getting about 100-175 miles per tank, if you even care about gas mileage.. That is roughly 8-12mpg... Yeehaw..

Secondly, why would you beat on that engine set up everyday?? It's a stroker, and from what I've read on here and a few other forums, the components just don't hold up to everyday needs..

Lastly, just think of all of the drivetrain components you'll be going through...

Personally, I've never felt that having a modified car as a DD is a good idea, especially if I've spent all the money to modify it; I did it for 2 years, and drove the car 14 months out of 24... Regardless of tuning, you can still blow engines up just by hot-******* it, more so when they're at the exacting tolerances..

It still sounds like a great deal, and I'd move on it, regardless..

Oh yeah, and I shouldn't have to tell you this, and I believe it's been covered before, but using the terms, "Sold As-Is," is no longer acceptable Wording on a contract... The seller must divulge all info, and then have an agreement of them releasing all liability to which they are bound by the Consumer Protection Act.. If your father's an ex-Lawyer, he'll know what I'm talking about..
