PI cams in NPI swap?

PI cams in NPI swap?
Talking with another member via PMs about camshafts...
Am I correct in thinking you CANNOT run a PI aftermarket cam like a VT stage 2 in a NPI motor with a PI swap? Won't this cause PTV issues with the .550 lift compared to the .500 lift of the NPI cam?

RE: PI cams in NPI swap?
Yea there will be problems if you run anything more than a PI cam in NPI heads. I'm not sure if you'll run into ptv problems, but what droptop pointed out to me a couple days ago was that the NPI heads themselves can't handle that much lift.
I think you could run an aftermarket cam in NPI heads if you had some machine work done on the heads so that they could phsically handle a lumpier cam...
