BEAM AND COKE FTW!!
Nope.... "The Glenlivet" aged 18 years, Single Malt Scotch Whisky on the rocks.... FTW!!!

Seriously putting in a drive shaft requires unbolting 4 bolts and reinstalling them and slidding out the old driveshaft and putting the other in... Simple. Check your repair manual if you want more detailed instructions.

ok I'm off to do the driveshat install. Let's see how fun this can be. Now I'm going to replace the housing seeal (pinion seal)) also while I"m in there, so wish me luck. I'll load my laptop up outside in case I run into anything goofy.

It was insanely hard man!!!

no seriously.

1. Open a beer. Take a sip

2. Take the 4 bolts out of shaft back by the axle.

3. Take a drink of beer

4. Pull the front of the driveshaft out of the transmission

5. Take a drink of beer

6.Put the new one in the transmission (just slides).

7. Take a drink of beer

8. Put some locktite on the 4 bolts

9. Take a drink of beer

10. Put the 4 bolts back in

11. Finish your beer, it will still be cold

Rinse and repeat actions 1, 3, 5, 6, 9, and 11 about 10 times.

you see there's a problem in all this... he might get drunk by repeating your so-called actions =P

Some of my easiest installs have come under the influence .. and yall are missin out ... some of the best drinks around here involve two carolina beverages .. sun drop and cheerwine ... you can mix about in liquor you want with each .. I prefer the Captains Tattoo, Black Label Soco, or Wild Turkey with mine ; ) .. but nothing like a case of Bud Heavy to "lighten" your day ...CHEERS !

First off, you want your car in Neutral when doing something like this, in case you can't quite reach all 4 bolts.. Just Chalk the wheels w/ some wood, or bricks, or something that won't move..

Other than that, don't forget to use a 12-pt Socket, since the bolts are 12-pt.

The fluid that comes out is such an insignificant amount, that you could reasonably swap them out fast enough, if you can get the slip yolk in and the rear flange just lined up.. Then the Pinion shaft seal will stop any residual leaking.. If it takes you more than 30 minutes, then put the beer down and go at it..

yeah I actually found an install someone did on another site. Very detailed and he mentioned the seal replacement. And oh yeah I haven't done it yet, lol. I got off here and laid down for a bit and well fell asleep and just got up 2 hours later, lol DAMN I was tired for some reason, NOW I'm rejuvenated and ready to rty again. lol. Gotta go jam the radio, boot up the laptop, grap a cold non-alcholic beer, and go at it. I think I'll move the rear wing back and put my new radiator cover on(bought a new one to rpelace the scratched one). Ok I"ll probably be gone more than 30 minutes, but hey, I've got a heater out there, it's all good.
