Your gonna get hit hard on insurance if you total your stang and turn around and buy another one. I wrapped my car around a tree before. I spent $4,000 out of pocket to get it fixed, and it's still got a mailbox dent in the rear QP and no airbags. Sounds like the cosmetic flaws are minor. The front suspension should not be a difficult fix and 3650's have to a dime a dozen. Make a call to a couple junkyards. I'd think you should be able to get up and running fine with under $2,000.

I voted for the GTO because I don't really like the new mustangs....other then with the Eleanor kit.

I don't like the new mustangs either but COME ON!!.. those GTO's look even worse.. he should just stick with a new edge GT
Yeah but come on 405 hp out of the box. Cams, heads and full bolt ons and you're looking at 500+ hp right there. GTO FTW!

The only reason I put the v6 as an option is because for around the same price as a gt I could have a sixer and supercharge it. Id have something unique and the insurance should be alot cheaper.. Shoudlnt it?
it wouldnt be as reliable and you would void your warranty with a s/c

You stated the option of an $18k v6 05+ Mustang with a blower leaving you around $22k and.......well slow. So why don't you just get another 99-04 GT and supercharge that you'll be faster, better looking, lighter and cheaper. Plus you can even make it look like your current GT theres still alot of nice ones floating around especially here in FL.

How do you figure it will be slow? Also the main idea behind the sixer was the lower insurance payment and lower car payment.

You wont be as fast as a new edge supercharged thats what I was getting at. For cheaper then the 06 v6 you can do that and be in a better situation then you are currently with a similar car. Yes the insurance wont be as forgiving but its a better alternative to getting the 06 GT for 26k......why 06 anyways? Not interested in a used 05, that too would be a tad bit cheaper.

yeah.. the 405hp is nice.. but if hp was the only reason people buy sports cars then the camaro's would of never been put out of production... they obviously had more hp "out of the box" but since they looked like *** the mustang eventually took it down.

Too bad your GT is a write off. My GT has the same style, colour, and rims, so it's hard to look at those pics.

I would buy an 03-04 Cobra. Plenty on E-Bay that would sell for less $$$ than a '06 GT

Are you going to stick with Progressive Auto Insurance?
