Funny AUTOZONE manager knowledge about 2v 4.6
I was at Autozone just getting some cleaning supplies, when this Manager of the store was showing off his Mustang.
I saw it outside and I even parked next to it. It was a very clean 04 GT.
Anyways, he was telling his employee that his car was rated at 280hp to the WHEELS stock, but FORD underated the #'s and it's really 300hp.
I really wanted to let him know his calculations are way off, but instead I just kept listening talk because it was hilarious.
Don't get me wrong, I love my Mustang GT but in no way, shape, or form is it 300hp to the wheels.
Everyone knows its 260 CRANK hp.
FYI, he DID NOT have a Mach1. It was a regular GT.

im pretty sure the terminators are underrated in their #s but the GTs are 260hp cranked and maybe, just maybe a little bit overrated....

Terminators are in a league of there own man. Trust me I know what those bad boys can do.
I tell you what, I won't trust anyones advice over at Autozone after hearing him talk about cars.

Auto parts store people are NOTORIOUS for knowing everything about everything, owning cars ranging from '67 GT-500s to 1 in 25 made LS6 '70 Chevelle drop-tops, all the way up to new Corvettes they have parked at home. When I used to build 68-72 Chevy muscle as my hobby it was like pulling teeth trying to get parts for my cars that according to them "Didnt come on the car". No offense to any MF parts house guys, but give me my part, dont ask me any questions, and we'll both be on our way.

I know what you guys mean about the "knowledgable" parts store employees. The majority of them around here all talk about their 7 second (1/8 mile) hondas. I am lucky tho. The o'reilly's in town has an assistant manager who is a true car guy and knows his ****. He has a nissan 240 that is getting ready for an LS1 swap. Ive seen the motor and its sweet. He has also had several mustangs too. Every now and then we are blessed with a parts store guy that knows what he's talking about.

For the record: The terminators are underrated.. most dyno between 360-380rwhp, while they're rated at 390bhp...
im still waiting for them to try to sell me a belt for my car because the belts are slipping causing the motor to have a slight whine

Being an employee at Autozone, you hear alot of retarted things come out of fellow employees mouths about nothing they know. Co worker and myself got into an arguement between what would win in the 1/4 miles. A new NSX or a new Z06. I said the Z06 because of the raw amount of power. Well i just gave up and came back the next day with some info on the each of them. He still did not believe me. O well
