Need info on changing manual tranny fluid
Any suggestions as to the best way to drain and refill on a manual tranny. I'm debating on whether to do this my self or send it to the shop. Also what brand synthetic fluid have u used (B&M, Royal Purple or Mobil)?

Easiest way... Pull the shifter off, remove drain plug. After drained, reinstall plug and fill at top of trans while shifter is off. Then reinstall the shifter. As for fluid, I would use royal purple synchromax. Good luck.

I did mine from under the car. I had to use a siphon pump to get the fluid in the fill hole. Even then it was a pain. After a lot of obscene language, trans fluid all over everything and a few wrenches lost in the neighbors yard I was done [&:]

3.25-3.4 quarts. The manual calls for 3.8 but tremec released an announcement to fill it with 3.25 because of the synchro issues.
Sprostang, does all the oil get to where it needs to be by pulling the shifter? Doing it that way would be SO much easier than using a pump to pump it in.

should we really be having 3.25 quarts int he 3650? I put abou 3.8 and my tranny makes more noises then it did before in fifth and in neutral

That is what I have read from many sources. If you want to be safe, put 3.8 in, but I have read the lesser amout allows the synchros to mesh much easier when the oil is cold. Supposedly 3.25 is what tremec called for after testing to try to fix the synchro issues.
