I just powershifted 3rd on my way to walmart just now at 12 in the morning... lol. I got my car all sorts of squirly.... Its very hard on the drivetrain. But hell whats the fun in babying your car. I beat the hell out of my car, sure you brake things from time to time. But its worth it to me... My clutch gets kinda mushy for a little while after I powershift a few times in a row. I have a spec stage 1 clutch. Then I drive normally and it returns back to normal. The Tremec 3650 have internal stops for the shift forks, so you dont even use the stops on an aftermark shifter anyways. Powershifting improves my times at the track for sure. As for street racing... Sometimes and sometimes not, I break my tires loose alot from 1st to 2nd and to 3rd. So you lose times from that, but at the track they have alot better traction on the strip. Just my 2 cents

ha fixed...

Wanna play some Omaha for your car? I rarely break the tires lose at the shift points, generally just after the clutch engages when the power is being reapplied.

agree on that if you havnt power shifted - do it - its almost a whole different car... especially on th 1 and 2 - lol
I really dont think it hurts anything if you do it right, so many people dont know how to drive its amazing

I'll play you heads-up for in NL Hold-em for your car! lol...for being 19, I consider myself a rather good card player.

Me too. I generally win $10-15k per year in little tournaments here and there (any one tournament is payout limited to $1200 to avoid income tax).

And, no, I'm not really dumb enough to put something like a car on the line.

I would think powershifting on a stock bottom end 2v gt with a blower would also = blown engine. RPMs are going to skyrocket from 6000-whatever faster then anyone can shift if holding down the gas while shifting.

I have to disagree with that.... if your pingin rpms while powershifting - your shifting to slow... it should only take 2-3ths of a second if that

about a snap and a half of your fingers... its really quick

that and shift after 6k of course... I guess I see wut you mean if your shifting at 6500... which will *** u up anyway (not the powershifting that will make it blow)

I dont think it will matter you have a revlimiter, its just going to bounce off of it.

Bouncing the rev limiter at 6500 rpms while in boost is bad...the stock rotating assmebly doesnt like to see past 6000. If you're shifting AT 6000 and holding the gas, it WILL go past 6000RPM. I wont powershift, not worth it.
