I just "fast-shift" and with the few mods I have in my signature,....I still pulled a 14.123 second 1/4 mile time with my street tires. I just know my car well.

what exactly goes out on them? I rebuilt my T45 (synchros) and found the only thing concerning me as to weakness was the shift forks, and I hear these blow all the time. And also, I hear a short throw reduces the chances of breaking them.
it over torques them, when you shift, and keep the rpm at 5800 rpm, instead of letting it drop when you release the clutch, the extra torque will kill your gears and bend things in your drive train, also, from my expierience with my integra, it kills the clutch, and ruins the synchros.

I dont think my trans likes powersifting.. It will go 1st-2nd fine but even trying to shift really fast into third it will bind up for some reason.. [&:] I just granny shift into 3rd LOL.. once I get a window switch for N20 I plan on trying powershifting a couple more times..

shouldnt bind in anygear.... examine your driving,, often people (including myself) will get anxious and excited not realize that they are putting uneven force on the shifter - making it bind and extending your shift time - damaging your trany... a proper power shift really should have no ill side effects for every once in a while romp
