Default Is a 2.6 KB overkill on GT?

I found this guy trying to sell a KB 2.6 for a GT. Is this over kill? Supposedly he is looking to only get about 2K for it and it is brand new.

Now here is my thinking. If i buy this, and i know it can produce ridiculous power, but can't i detune it to the max of the stock block, and when i can afford it finish the bottom end and turn it up?

Yeah just put a huge pulley in it. there are lots of ways to detune a car. you could put a TB restrictor on it for example. FOr the price you better not pass up this blower.

Overkill?....No such thing!

Seriously though, this is a great deal, and like David said, you can detune the car in several ways until your car can handle more.
