breaking in new clutch?
I'm getting my new clutch installed tomorrow, and I've heard you should break in a new clutch. I've heard from a few people to not go over 3500 rpm for about 500 miles. Is this the best thing to do, and if not what is? Thanks

RE: breaking in new clutch?
It isn't the RPM when engaged that's a problem, it's the slipping and torque holding that will be lowered until it breaks in. Avoid hard launches, large rpm mismatches, and quick throttle movements. Mine was doing well after about 300 miles (Centerforce Dual Friction).

^^^what he said...just take it easy for about 500 miles or more if needed and ull be fine. Mine chattered for the first 500-700 miles and now its completely broken in and doesnt chatter. I got a spec stage 2

i always take it easy on all my new clutches for about 100-200 miles....and i never seemed to have any problems. 500 would definitely be a safe place to be though i guess

Please disregard what bransdaman78 said...don't know why he wants you to ruin your new clutch.
But just take it easy on it for 400-500 miles and it'll be good!
