Anyone know where to get a good reliable short shifter my friend got one for his ricer and it snaped the first time he speed shifted lol, and another quesion how much HP can I throw to my trannny before i have to replace it and get a stronger one?

Pro 5.0 is a nice a strong short shifter
There are a few other brands that are as tuff

MGW, Steeda Tri-ax, and Pro 5.0
All are very good shifters and will work great for you. Most people on here seem to like the MGW a little better than the rest.

Yeah I would say go for a MGW even though I am sporting a Pro 5.0 lol. I really live mine though. It sounds and feels really good! Inexpensive too.

so many threads about this if you use "SEARCH"
but you'll come up with a whole bunch of opinions on different shifters (Steeda, Pro 5.0, Hurst, etc)
The one shifter without complaints and that most people swear by, however, is the MGW
