How willing are you to do minor things with your suspension, like LCA's & sticky tires? You'll be fine with 4.30's with FI if you are willing to supercharge your car correctly and do the work to put the power down.

Depending on how well of a driver you are, you might run out of gear with a blown GT with 4.30's. It'll take a taller than stock slick to compensate for the short gears and help you get down the track as quickly as possible.

If you aren't willing to figure these things out, I'd just go with 3.73's, but if you are looking to run the quickest time possible...you are leaving some tenths on the table by not going with atleast 4.10's.

Bearings are a must. Many shops will not do a gear install without new gears.

i agree that it can be done, but i dont agree that its practical. my 3:90's are plenty for me.

the only problem with goin that steep on a gt is that stock we dont have the ability to really get up in the rpms, unlike the cobra. i think a 4:30 would be better in a built N/A GT. just my opinion though. to each his own

I'm going with 4.30s myself. It is going to be about a month, but when I do it, I'll take vids of the driveability to let you all know. Regardless of what you have decided on.
