Default Light bar?

Just wondering I was thinking of putting a light bar on my 02 vert and I wanted to know if 1. The top will go over it and 2. if I can turn the light that goes on when you brake, off.
Thanks.

Top will go over it and I think people can rig those lights up to where they dont activate when the top is up, so you wouldnt have to mess with unplugging it
