ALARM: HOW TO ACTIVATE?
My vehicle came up to NY from Florida in '04 and it was inspected by NYS and it said the alarm was "present". I got this info this past weekend by getting my Carfax as I was bored. I don't think this car has an alarm but if it did how would I activate and test it? I did not get the owners manual or window sticker either. It's a '99 Automatic convertible. Anyone? All it has is a red alarm wording in the dash that blinks all the time the car is off! Did any of these cars have alarms and if so .....Thanks, Mark

RE: ALARM: HOW TO ACTIVATE?
The car just has the factory "PATS" anti-theft ignition imobilizer. There is no siren or shock sensors or anything like that. It's just to keep someone from driving off with your car, they can't hotwire it, they need the factory key that has the chip in the keys stem.
Don't lose that key either! They're about $80-90 to replace!
