Default O/D Light

Does anybody know what it means when an O/D light flashes? As soon as i took it out of park it went away. I just got a shift kit installed. Think there's something wrong?

Mine was on because my neutral safety switch was broken in half.

it only flashed while it was in drive. But it hasn't done it anymore. I looked in the manual and it says if it flashes to have it checked. I was just wondering what the problem might be.

i will flash every time u crank ur car up or just turn the key, if it stays on then try pushin the button and it should turn off, it that doesnt work then in would un hook ur batt then reset ur odometer like u wanna read the diagnostics and then turn your car back off and then crank it back up and see if its still there.

Aw that's sweet. I didn't know I could put my car into diagnostic mode. I actually had a transmission shop read the code for me andit pulled "temp sensor high input" or something like that. Anyways, he says i need to get a trans cooler. Actually he saidthat for my car he suggests i put 2??? He reset it for me and it hasn't come back on but he said it probably will once the tranny gets hot again. I'll probably get it installed next couple days. Do i neccessarily need 2? he said for 1 he'd charge me 80, for 2 he'd charge me 125.
