Default Rims 17" of 18"

When getting new rims I know most people go with the 17" but do the 18" rims slow you down that much more. I know they help top speed but how about acceleration?

get what you think looks better and dont worry about performance.
IMO 18" wheels fill the wheel well up the best when lowered

I would just like to clarify the "RIM" is just the outer part of the wheel. Now if ur looking for new wheels i would strongley suggest a staggered stance. Best of both worlds. I have 17's all round and looks kinda weird w/o lowering it at least 1.75 inches.

Larger wheels in theory should help your top speed but slow your acceleration. By only changing your size by 1" you won't notice any difference.

Thats the same debate that I'm having get 17s or 18s. My other problem is if I should get chrome on a white mustang.
But IMO 17s are a little cheaper for both rims and tires.

17's are the perfect combination of looks and performance. dont worry about ur speedo untill u go with 18's, 17's wont mess it up at all. maybe slightly but not even 1 mph at any speed.
