RE: nitto's or bfg's
i have a sponsorship with NTB so i get them for $50 a tire but they retail for like $200-$225 for a 275/45/17 a shaved set willonlylast me a weekend but a street set will last for a long time. i had a set on my S4 daily and they lasted about 15K miles of spirited driving. i currently have a set on my M3.
they have a tread life of 200. im not sure what the BFGs are but they last alot longer than other 200 series tires. i think the rubber bonds are stronger

Most people with BFG's only get a 2-3 thousand miles out of them. I wouldnt put them on my daily unless i had david k's money. In the spring when my F1's are finally cooked; i'm just leaving my nitto's on for the street and buying some M/T's for the track and occaisional street use.

BFGs hook WAY better, but I only got 5-6k miles out of mine. I too will be getting a set of MT ET's for the track/driving to/from track and leaving nitto 555r's as my DDs.

i worked at a tire shop. talked to some mt salesman's 315 3517 will be coming out shortly but they will charge you up the a$$ for them. so if you can wait and have the money for them just wait. they should be out next year
