P/P Stock Plenum vs Aftermarket Plenum
I am making a list of mods I am planning to do to my car over time, and am wondering what the best bang for my buck plenum wise would be. I am planning to keep it N/A, so I don't need an insane plenum setup. How does the Stock Plenum Ported and Polished perform vs a Aftermarket Plenum, and about how much would it be to have a shop do it for me? Thanks for any info.

RE: P/P Stock Plenum vs Aftermarket Plenum
I am not planning on doing anything to the MAF. I am going to get a 75MM TB that is for sure, but am not sure what to do about the plenum. Considering I am keeping it N/A, I dont need a hardcore flow for the plenum. I just wanted to know if I would save some money by having the stock Plenum Ported and Polished instead of buying a whole new one, or if the aftermarket plenum would be worth the extra money. The fact that I like the look of the stock plenum also plays a bit of a role in this . BTW, I wouldnt be doing the porting and polishing myself, I would have a shop do it.

RE: P/P Stock Plenum vs Aftermarket Plenum
Thanks STL, interesting article. It seems the ported Plenum really helped with the low end looking at the dyno. Wonder what the numbers would have looked like if he had had a CAI on it, or atleast taken the air silencer off. I think my best bet will be to see how much shops around me are asking for a Port and Polish, and base my decision off of that.
