Default rims and tire sizes

aight well i received my rims two days ago. 18 x 9-10 FR500's. im orderin tires tonite. im decided on bfg t/a kdws. what size would you suggest. 285 x 45 x 18 or 295 x 35 x 18.

the real question is what size is...is it safer to go with a 35...or a 45 or even higher. some of my friends are sayin not go anything less than 45 because they said i could damage my rim if i hit a pothole or somethin like that. im not a tire expert so any info would be appreciated. thanx guys.

MERRY CHRISTMAS

285 60 is to big I would do a 265/35 front and a 285/40 or 295 /35 if you dont want to do 315. I run 265/35/ front and 285/35 rear 18x9 all around

I have 275/35 all around. I would have gone to 285's but i was told you couldn't put any bigger than 275's on 18x9's. shouldn't of listened to that guy.
