Default wanna fix my foglights? please help

for some reason my right side fog light keeps going out. it will last about a few weeks and then all the sudden its out again. now correct me if i am wrong but if it was the ground wouldnt it burn out right away. and another thing that i think might be the cause of it, both of my fogs have very small holes drilled in the bottom corner, now is this to allow for air flow so that water cant get trapped in the there or is this a possible place where t water is getting and shorting it?

Does it rain a lot where you live? I had a similar problem happening on my Pontiac awhile ago and it turned out water was getting inside the tail light housing and as soon as it touched the bulb, it would blow it out. Maybe you're getting water in there somehow and it's killing the bulb. Does it happen on a regular basis?

Had the same problem with my Toyota. It was because the bulb was getting wet, not soaked but just enough to blow the damn thing.

Same with me and my g/f Grand Am...water touches the bulb and that's it.

I never noticed the holes you are talking about on my car and it's in the body shop now so I can't go out and look for you.
