ok just got myself a 2004 40th anneversary GT...as you can tell from my login name i had a 02 3.8 mustang... the GT is awesome by the way...can't wait to start with the mods..anyway...one thing i noticed with my new GT is that it takes a little more to start the car...with my 3.8, it turned over fairly easy and with no problem...but it kind of feels like the GT is having a little more trouble to start...does the bigger better 4.6 just need a little more to get started or what do you guys think...?
I rented a 6'er a few years ago, and as I recall it wasn't much faster-or-slower to start than my GT. Do you mean a LOT of extra cranking for the GT or just a bit more?
I also leave the key in the "On" position for a few seconds, it gives it time to prime the fuel line and build up pressure and my car starts right up. It happens to me to though, if I go to start it right away it takes a few seconds of cranking.
hmm my mom has a v6 and i didnt notice a diffrence in starting time. dunno it maybe you have a weak battery or something. anyways...how you like hte world of diffrence in power?
