RE: i know ditto about nitto
chech the salvage yard and/or ebay to get a spare set of rear wheels. then buy Goodrich D/R's and then only put those wheels on before you go to the track/or to race. i would pay for this by buying Khumo's on all four corners for street use. these can be had at tirerack.com for less than $100 apiece. i'm too lazy to do the math, so you may be out of more money up front, but you would save in the long run.
MD, i have a friend that has the same exact problem you do(runs out of gear) and he has a set of D/R's mounted on a spare set of rear wheels. the D/R's he has have a VERY tall sidewall to add some gearing. he's not running as fast as you are, but in Texas he's running a 'non-adjusted to sea-level' 12.6 e.t. anyways, i'm sure you already thought of doing this, but if not, it could be a cheap way to put 'just enough' gear back into it.

Get BFG's and you will be getting new ones in 10,000 miles.
