RE: Cheapest FI or can I do with out?
start saving for boost now. dont buy boltons if you want to beat a boosted integra. if you must get something, get longtubes or midlengths (bassani), gears, cams and a tune. those are pretty much the major boltons.
my friend has a "lightly" turboed gsr and dynoed 270whp. if i were you id shoot for 300 to be safe and thats all of the boltons and a good tune. and with the money you spend on all the boltons, you could buy a cheap vortech and be like 330-350

the cheaper forms of boost are definitely goin to be vortech(centri), paxton(centri), and nitrous. if i were in your position id just slap some full exhaust, gears, 75 shot and good tune, until i could afford a decent blower. at least then if you do lose you will be close. just a suggestion though

I think that after I do my SLP LM2 in the spring, I will start to save up slowly a little bit each week for FI. Is a supercharger something that I could put in myself? I do not want to pay for labor if at all possible. Remember, I am pretty new to working on cars. Also will the supercharger kits come with a canned tune to get me to somewhere for a dyno tune? I would probably have to travel about 50 miles.
EDIT: Also remember, he is getting the car until he reaches his 3 year driving mark in about 1 1/14 years. I will have a while to save. I don't need to smoke him, I just want to be able to keep up.

some do and some dont as far as the tune goes. as long as you know how to read directions properly and know what end of the screwdriver then yea you could install a s/c but it wont be an afternoon project. more like a weekend project. if i were you id have somebody who is a little more mechanically enclined to help along with the process.

there are MANY cars that can stomp my car's butt around here, and I get ragged on it all the time. i wanna supercharge it, do this, do that, XYZ... but i am also in school and it is more important.
Mod your car when you can but don't let that move higher on the list than your education
