GTO's are nice, but if your spending in the 20k range get a C5 corvette.
I wish but there is no way I could afford the insurance. So there arent any mods or anything for the gto?
You would be suprised, I thought the same thing. Then I put a down payment on a 2001 C5 with 11k miles, it was $32,000 and the payments would have been $550month then I got an insurance qoute. They wanted $1600 a year, I pay $1800 for my mustang. WTF? I am 21 years old on top of that. Go Safeco! Go get a qoute and see....

Don't get quotes from the dealer for your payments.

Do the financing yourself, go to your local banks otherwise be prepared to get anally raped, with no lube.

I've seen 04 GTO's with low miles go for the 17k-20k $$ range

Alot of haters here. A gto with l/t, mid pipe cat back are fast guys. Mod for mod the gto will come on top. Do heads cams full exhaust and your at what 300rwhp on a 4.6? Do that to a ls1 and looking at 400ish. I built my motor cus its what my parents got me. trust me if i could go ls1 i would and not look back

I'll eat a GTO for breakfast lunch and dinner. Buy mine for $12,000 and you won't have to spend $26-27k, lol.

i hear gto's have very nice interiors and they are pretty quick for what they are but they still look like a coupe grand prix and they are heavier than a bardge full of fresh fish.

IMO cobra > ls1 fbody > gto for this particular case
