96 gt sputtering???help

Default 96 gt sputtering???help

on my cousins 96 gt mustang, he is having a sputtering issue.. At low rpms it sputters, and if he is driving down the road and full throttles the car it sputters.. any ideas? we are thinking that it maybe mass air sensor possibly?

Ikind of had the same problem with my car and it was b/c my cai was installed wrong. Not an expert on this so ill let someone else give u a straight answer.

Gas filter dirty, clogged injectors maybe.

My friend had the same type of issue. Turns out it was one of the plugs. She blew a plug out of the hole, she got it helicoiled but when the mechanic went to put the plug back in he dropped it and it bend the metal on the bottom right up against the electrode. So it could be a fouled plug.

Could be a bad air filter, could need spark plugs and wires, could need a fuel filter, could be a lot of things. I'd say if it hasn't been tuned up give it a good tuneup.... air filter, fuel filter, plugs/wires. Could be the MAF, but usually a bad MAF will give a huge 'delay' like you floor it, and it just waits and then revs up.
