Default LOL another Grille delete question

Ok i was reading the instructions for the kit and it says something about painting and such? I got it from americanmuscle.com and its all black like i assumed it should be? You dont have to paint it do u? And what exactly do u have to do for install? I hear some say u have to remove the headlights and some say its just like 3 bolts. Which is it? And my chin spoiler wont unbend.....

ok... well I just installed both the delete and the chin... you DON'T paint em... leave them flat black...

for the delete, first take off the 4 screw/rivet things on the top to remove the shroud and loosen the top of the grill... now that you can pull the grille forward (not too much, it's attached to the bumper by 4 more screws) there's 4 screws you need to loosen... mine were 7mm bolts that were 'clipped' in... idk if it's different on ohter stangs... but I'm pretty sure they're all the same.... but what you want to do is pull it foward, and with the wrench remove each bolt... start on one side and work down the line, it'll get easier... after those four the grille should come right out... then it should be self explanitary from there.

for the chin spoiler, let it unfold, help it out a lil by proping it the way it should look in the warm... then when you're ready to put it on, take it outside and let it adjust to the temp of where you're installing it... after an hour or so, tape it up onto the car (it's a pain, but you gotta drill holes) after that drill out the holes 1/4 inch size WITH the spoiler in place and work from the wheel wells in... it should be a lil bit recessed behind the lip of the bumper... don't do what I did and try to mount it flush all the way around... it came out well... not normal... it looks fine, but it's supposed to be a lil bit behind the lip.

u dont have to remvoe the headlights, but it makes it a lil easier to pull the bumper up to get to the screws IMo, and their very simpel to take out, theres only 2 clips, and unscrewing the bulbs, good luck

when yo uhave the stock grill disconnected at the top, just gently pull the bumper tward you so you can reach the screws underneath. dont worry the bumper is made to flex and give enough so you can reach the screws.

or you can take the bumper off entirely... whichever ones easier for you

no no no... I'm paranoid too... pulling it as in when you loosen the top of the grille, pull it back... the front bumper is flexible, so it can take it...
