i can do the work myself, and my one friend works at a performance shop for a living......question. I know you guys carry Long Tubes. I currently have SLP X pipe that can be taken apart and used with LT headers. Do i NEED to use SLP headers or would something like, say MAC work with that?

The3 best things you can do for your current mods to improve performance would be the converter, long tubes, and cams.
The converter will most likely make the biggest diff at the track as well as seat of the pants. The cams will make it lump like a pissed off mod motor should, and will net another 25-30 rwhp if tuned. The long tubes are a no brainer in the increase of power and will also serve well with future upgrades including a blower, nitrous, or heads.
Can you perform the work or do you have to budget installation in as well?

Stage one cams(no springs require great hp) l/t o/r mid pipe and torque converter or a 75 shot. s/c sounds good in thought but think. Say you a used s/c then fuel injector fuel pump, install, tune ext and well over 3k. Just a thought

Do the smart thing.. maybe take like 500 and spend on goodies then take the rest and put it on your car.. its not very smart to spend a whole bunch of money on things when your car isnt paid off.. just think about how much you could save with out a car payment.. you could double that 1500 in a short amount of time.. then do your car right and drop a LS1 in it[:-]

I bought the car in full 2 years ago.... i have money in the bank, in stocks and i own 35% of a financial planning business, so this is my money to play with

since everything is paid off I am down with hookers and lap dances.... and just stick a little bottle on your car thats only like 500.. then you can go to vegas and blow the rest in like 10 min ....
