lol the cobra motors, have stronger blocks than gt's, they can handle more boost. I know for a fact the 03/04's can take alot of boost. The 99,01's can also but maybe not as much. The 96-98's have stronger blocks as well but im not sure bout forged internals like the 99-04
only the 03/04 Cobra has a complete forged shortblock...The 96-98 and 99/01 had forged cranks but the same crappy rods and pistons. They can't handle any more boost then a stock GT.
