No kidding. I mean I know how to run my car, but when it comes to dynoing, let the pro's handle it. Did you see how the rear end was sliding on the drum? And I'm sure it's not just me, but you don't need to pop the clutch when your dynoing, lol. Damn the wheels were jumping in the rear. You have to take it slow when you start out. This isn't a race to the end of the garage.

I am in just in disbelief that they would mod the car like that, push it that hard without a tune.. either it has to be tuned, or they just got really lucky something didn't break...

stupid question, but whenever you change the injectors, aren't you suppose to tune the car? When you change the cam, aren't you suppose to tune the car? I can't see that car w/o a tune running right...

Well, much to my discomfort, my car ran without a tune for 8k miles. H/C/I exhaust, 24lb injectors. She ran ok. Didnt like to idle EVER, but it ran. Come to find out my A/F was 20% too rich, which ended up frying my O2 sensors.

In conclusion, yea it NEEDS to be tuned, but you dont have to.

As long as you are not LEAN, you arent gonna actually damage anything, its just gonna suck and build up a bunch of crap inside.

I was always told that cams make you lean out (keep in mind, that i know nothing about cams)

I do know that running rich over a period of time will break somethings as well... I just cant believe a responsible tuner would push a car on a dyno without a tune. According to the dyno video he was either lean, or had a good a/f - I was getting my car tuned and he made it to rich, and I got backfire... and i heard no backfire, I even got backfire when I was a tad rich as a daily. If he was lean and the tuner (knowing he didn't have a tune) let him punch it that bad - I would never go back to him again.

yeah that shop looked kinda sketchy. they didnt have the rear end strapped down and i couldnt see any exhaust hoses or piping so was it going straight into the garage?

and man you need to get that tuned. you could see the afr drop in the upper rpms

The shop was Performance Specialties, in Pottstown. It is where Lizzy fan got his work done and you see his car is fine. I have a printout w/ the A/F ratio. I will scan it and post it. The tires were spinning because they were wet. They only slid until I tried them off. My max A/F was 17.5
