ok im lookin at doin the axles in my car and i want to know if 28 spline axles are strong enough to hold a 350-400 rwhp car with slicks launchin hard! i realize all the other things i need for this but i'm not sure how strong 28's are thanks guys!

nah I would upgrade to 31 spline, the slicks will end up doing a number on the 28s and you want to have a strong posi carrier and the factory t-lok isnt going to last very long against all the stuff your thinkin about. just my .02

I had the one wheel peel goin on and did 31 spline strange axels and a detroit trutrac diff. It was 1300.00 for everything installed (i know a little steep) but i have a real bulletproof rear now and wont need a tow truck to get home from the track. And if i ever do want to run slicks theres no problem.

I did use 31's up untill last weekend when the lugnut bolts were sheared off!! Go bigger i learned hard way.

As long as you have forged and hardened 28's, you should be fine. I am launching at 6K on ET Streets (not the drag radials).

If you get 31 spline axles do you need to do any thing else or do they just bolt in?
