Nurse, prepare the patient for surgery please (dial-up warning... wait, who still has dial-up?!)
Thought this might be a fun little thread, especially for anyone who hasn't done anything like this before and wants to know what is involved.

Prepped for surgery:

Now I just soaked the header/midpipe bolts once more and took a little time off to type this up to let it work. Back to work, more pics soon!

Ugh, well, it's taken forever now because I found out I didn't have a socket to get on the infamous passenger side bolt. Went to Home Depot, they have a horrible selection of sockets, same with Lowes, and I Advance didn't have anything either, so I ended up going all the way to Sears to get a decent socket. Got back and got the midpipe off in 10 minutes. Now I'm about to go install everything. Only one more pic for now. Oh, and this is my phone's camera. As it gets darker the pics get worse, sorry.

Man...talk about a horrible stock exhaust setup. I thought nothing was worse than a Y-pipe exhaust, but I think a 96-98 GT's exhaust takes the cake. Holy crap that's bad...

Finally! Your car will be able to breathe. Yeah, you should notice a gooddifference with that new exhaust. Nice choice BTW.
