Default suspension mods

what would be the best suspension mods to put on a 96' mustang? I'm looking for anything that helps for more like 1/8th mile instead of 1/4th(if there is even a difference) and I will be installing a DOHC motor in the future if that would cause any issues picking suspension parts.
Thanks

Generally...upper/lower control arms, new shocks and struts, your pick of springs, and sub frame connectors.
