For a clutch install???? YEa...... The last clutch I put in was a stock one but the clutch and install cost me about 650. The work I am doing right now is by me and I am getting a Spec II for about 300 and installing it w/ help from some friends. 1400 bucks for that is WAY too much but, maybe I am misunderstanding you.

whether you're paying for installation or installation plus clutch, doesn't matter.. You are getting raped whatever way you look at it. $1400 will get my supercharger, clutch and gears installed =P lol

Install the clutch yourself. I'm putting a SPEC stage II in today. Just pay for flywheel resurfacing (anywhere from 25 - 85 dollars).

I paid 250 for install.. they f***ed it up, so I ended up re-doing it myself.

I just got my spec II installed last week at a mustang speed shop and the charged me 275.00 for install 40.00 for flywheel resurface and 20 for pilot bearing and to change it, so i would say 1400 is a rip.

That really sucks for me. I called Ford and they quoted me $1,200. And there are no speed shops near where I live (at least that I know of) and I have no way to do it myself since I live in a highrise and there isn't even a place for me to wash my car.

That seems a bit excessive for ford, should be around 350.00 for labor . The clutch doesnt cost 1,000
