It seems that everyone has an opinion on these two brands (which I hear are the top two) for engine oil, transmission fluid, and differential fluid. I plan on changing all of these as well and the oil filter and am undecided which to get. Should I go all one brand or do some royal purple some mobil 1? If I go all RP which oil filter should I get? I have heard RP is superior to Mobil 1 in tranny fluid but Mobil 1 is a better engine oil? Which is the best?

I've run Amsoil in everything for about 18 years and have never had a problem, or oil related failure. They are reasonably priced and the only oil to give you a written warranty that will replace the item damaged by use of their oil (no claims in 30+ years).

On my Vette GM recommends Mobil 1. The oil life is up to 7000miles depending on driving habits.The dealer charged me $10.95 per quart but I would think you'd be able to find a better price.

alright well Mobil 1 is deffinately easier to get, which one is cheaper?

Stick with whatever the manurfacturer recommends. They are the ones that built the car so they should know whats good for it.
