This seller of a Jetta knows his **** =D

http://orlando.craigslist.org/car/254455288.html

Apparently, his Jetta "car has an insane amount of torque and is faster than most GT Mustangs - if you floor it in 1st gear below 30 mph it will smoke the tires."

My daughter has a 2003 Jetta automatic and while it's a fun car to drive, (really), it's no match for a PI Mustang. The car is very light, handles well and the automatic adjusts shift points etc to your driving style but it won't smoke the tires, not in stock form anyhow. As for torque, he has to be kidding.
Speed yes, stability at high speeds yes, torque no.....

One thing about the VW's, they respond very well to mods. Especially the turbo models.
Drop a tuner/chip into them and they respond very well.

It seems like most German cars respond very well to chips, but he is claiming that his gave him a gain of 60trq < Im gonna have to call BS.
